For Targu Mures traffic police - Information request

Good morning,

I would like to send this mail to the traffic police of Targu Mures. If you know a better address to send this mail, please inform me.

My name is HAGUES Antoine, I am a 23 years old french student who came in Romania for an internship. I am sorry, I do not speak Romanian.

I was involved in a car accident the 29/05/2015 on the road between Targu Mures and Cluj-Napoca, and I went the day after to the traffic police of Targu Mures for the procès-verbal.
They told me that an investigation will be open, and that I will be contacted for further detail. I informed them that I will go back in France by the end of August, and they told me it will be solved before this date, and it will not be a problem.
Until now, I haven't been contacted.

I would like to know if it is possible to get back my driver license before I go to France? I will not drive in Romania, but I might need it in France.
If it is not possible, do you have any idea of how and when I will get it back?

Hy Antoine, my question is what accident you were involved in?It was only damages for the car's or other thing's or there was victims too?
I will explain to you how you can get you're drivere licence back:

This is an article from the Romanian Traffic Code RaOUG 195/2002

Art. 212. - (1) driving license issued by a foreign authority, detained as a result of violation by the owner of a road for which the law provides rules suspension of the exercise of the right to drive and to issue a certificate with the right replacement movement, together with a copy of the minutes of the contravention, traffic police are sent from the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, within 15 days after the sanction complementary
. (2) When evidence is obtained without replacement traffic law, driving license and a copy of the minutes of the contravention is sending police unit in paragraph (1) within one working day from the date of ascertaining the facts.
(3) until the date referred to in paragraph (1) The holder of a driving license issued by a foreign authority may request that, until the expiration of the suspension of the exercise of the right to drive, the document is stored in the Traffic Police Service within whose jurisdiction the offense was committed to be returned. About this possibility driving license holder will be informed once the suspension to exercise the communication leads.

So, if in the accident wasn't involved victims you can go to a public notary where you can give a notary statement that you need you're driving licence and you live in France, and also that you need there youre driver license, and that you will not drive on Romanian road's or else you will bear the consequences!
This statement you will take it to the traffic police chief in Targu Mures and after you will write down a demand to receive youre drivere licence, the chief will give it back to you.
But if in the accident were involved human damages ,than it's a little complicated, because you will be presented in front of a prosecutor that oversees the criminal record that the police has opened on your name , i repeat if you injuread other traffic participants by causing the accident !
You can go olso to talk to the prosecutor to see what is going to happen with your driving license, and it would be better to do this with a lawyer!
